Data Engineer
Job Description
Infosys is hiring a Data Engineer (assigned as Technology Consultant 2) in Dallas, TX for an onsite role. This position supports the software development lifecycle by moving from requirements through design, implementation, testing, enablement, and production support.
You will be involved in end-to-end delivery activities, collaborating with teams to translate business needs into build-ready development work and to maintain reliable application performance in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Support requirements elicitation by documenting the assigned portions of business requirements according to provided guidance.
- Lead and participate in application design discussions, documenting design decisions to guide the technical team.
- Code and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with an emphasis on system stability.
- Perform code reviews, apply codebase changes, and maintain code repositories.
- Implement testing approaches, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to meet software quality standards.
- Create user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to support smooth transitions to new applications.
- Engage in production issue resolution and recommend preventive measures to improve system reliability.
- Maintain detailed records of code, testing methods, and support activities to strengthen the knowledge base for similar projects.
