Data Engineer-Consultant AI&E

The Data Engineer-Consultant role supports Deloitte in designing, developing, and operationalizing scalable healthcare data platforms and integration pipelines for healthcare claims and payment ecosystems. The position is onsite in Jericho, NY and includes regular collaboration with engagement and project stakeholders.

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer-Consultant, you will lead healthcare data engineering work across domains that include claims, payments, member and provider eligibility, and medical and pharmacy data. You will translate requirements into data platform capabilities, integration pipelines, and operational outcomes, coordinating with project teams and functional and technical representatives throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operationalize scalable healthcare data platforms
• Design and develop integration pipelines across claims, payments, member, provider, eligibility, medical, and pharmacy domains
• Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from functional and/or technical teams, including escalation of matters requiring additional engagement management attention and consideration

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing healthcare data platforms
• Deep knowledge of the Cigna Medicare business
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel 10% on average, based on work activities and client and industry/sectors served
