Job Description
The Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation team is building reliable data foundations for warehouse automation and customer packaging. As a Data Engineer in Bellevue, you will design, build, and run end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines that feed a “source of truth” data store and metrics consumers can trust for reporting and decision-making.
This onsite role supports scalable pipeline development, strong data quality and security, and practical enablement for analytics across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and Spark to power automated reporting for warehouse automation and customer packaging
- Work with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide range of sources spanning warehouse automation and customer packaging
- Apply best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, and Redshift while managing “source of truth” data stores
- Implement best practices for batch and real-time processing to keep pipelines performant
- Deliver trustworthy datasets through data quality practices including validation, deduplication, PII handling, drift detection, and monitoring
- Build data security and access controls to protect sensitive operational and performance data across its lifecycle
- Model data and metadata to support both ad-hoc and pre-built reporting, and produce high-quality datasets for Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, and customer reporting
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud computing resources for the data infrastructure
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q and Kiro to accelerate pipeline development and debugging, while validating generated output for correctness
- Create extensible, easy-to-maintain designs with a long-term vision that can support future machine learning and GenAI use cases
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions
