Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer

CATHEXIS is hiring a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer to research, design, implement, and deploy machine learning solutions for enterprise applications while supporting federal customers with digital transformation. The role is based in Tysons, VA (onsite), with a salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000 per year.

What you’ll do

• Research, design, implement, and deploy machine learning algorithms for enterprise applications
• Assist and enable federal customers to build their own applications
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features

What you bring

• Active Secret clearance or above is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields
• MS or PhD in related fields preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience preferred
• Excellent programming skills in Python
• Applied machine learning experience across regression and classification, including supervised and unsupervised learning
• Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics
• Experience with scalable ML using MapReduce and streaming
• Ability to drive a project and collaborate both independently and in a team
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong self-motivation, ability to work with minimal supervision, and comfort with an agile environment
• Ability to convey highly technical concepts in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects
