Job Description
Direct-hire Controls Engineer opportunity with a systems integrator in Saint Paul, MN (onsite). This role focuses on building and commissioning automation for conveyor and web handling equipment, with competitive compensation in the $100,000 to $115,000 range and very competitive benefits.
What you will do
You will design and program control solutions for industrial material handling systems, working across PLC logic, operator interfaces, and motion control. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and program control systems using the Allen-Bradley Logix platform
- Develop HMI/SCADA applications and programs for conveyor and web handling equipment
- Program and commission high-speed, multi-axis motion systems as part of system bring-up
- Design and troubleshoot P&ID control loops to support reliable operation
- Integrate third-party robotics and instrumentation into the overall control architecture
Required experience
- Controls and/or system integration experience
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs
- SCADA/HMI development experience
- Experience with high-speed motion control equipment
- Ability to travel 20-25%
