Job Description

TopNotch Workforce Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an on-site role in Shelbyville, IN. The position covers engineering and project management across the entire manufacturing operation, with a focus on PLC programming, automation maintenance, and project oversight. The compensation package includes a yearly salary range of USD 90,000 to 120,000, plus a benefits lineup with 401(k), health insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, PLC messaging, middleware, and SQL.
  • Modify and test manufacturing process equipment; consult with equipment vendors.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automation instrumentation and devices such as servo drives, variable frequency drives, barcode and RFID readers, and I/O.
  • Assist other Information Systems team members in developing system solutions.
  • Help troubleshoot connectivity and reliability issues that affect the collection of process data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or automation engineering technology, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial electricity and controls.
  • Solid understanding of analog, digital, and logic circuits.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting PLCs, variable frequency drives, and power distribution.
  • Experience with PLC programming, HMI, OPC, and SCADA systems.
