Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Build, repair, and support aerospace electrical components onsite in Indian Trail, NC. This full-time role supports repairs for electrical and electronic aircraft parts and assemblies in line with the OEM CMM, with hands-on testing and documentation. You will also play a role in expanding new repair capabilities for an FAA 145 Repair Station.
What you’ll do
- Evaluate electrical and electronic aircraft assemblies and parts to determine repair feasibility according to the OEM CMM
- Disassemble components with the goal of restoring full functionality through repair
- Apply technical manuals, industry best practices, and aircraft systems knowledge to meet test requirements for repaired components
- Create repair instructions and perform test repairs to verify results per the CMM
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in evaluation and repair workflows, including setting criteria in line with CMM guidelines
- Lead the setup of new repair capabilities for the FAA 145 Repair Station following the OEM CMM
What you bring
- Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in a repair station or other production environment
- MRO experience
- Experience repairing or manufacturing one or more of the following part types:
- Circuit boards
- Actuator assemblies
- Electrical windings (including motors, solenoids, transformers, etc.)
- Sensor assemblies
- Torque motors
- Switch assemblies
- Servo valve assemblies
- Ability to identify or select electrical components for electrical repairs, including capacitors, resistors, connectors, transistors, and electrical wiring
- Familiarity with aerospace technical manuals such as CMMs and AMMs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated technical writing experience
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work well with team members
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and a valid driver’s license
Preferred
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or military aerospace maintenance
- Experience drafting electrical schematics
Pay and benefits
$75,000 per year (from $75,000.00 per year). Full-time role.
