Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Real Staffing is hiring an Electrical Engineer for a contract role supporting medical device research and development. The work centers on improving existing designs and helping advance new product development through hands-on electrical testing, troubleshooting, and prototype evaluation within an R&D-focused engineering team.
This position is based in Boston, OH (onsite) with a 4 days onsite / 1 day remote schedule. It offers a salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per hourly and requires at least 1 year of relevant engineering experience.
Role Overview
- Support new product development and design improvement initiatives for a medical device organization
- Collaborate with R&D engineers to develop and refine medical device technologies
- Contribute to verification and validation activities
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Build, evaluate, and debug prototypes and electronic assemblies
- Conduct bench testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab equipment
- Support PCB design, schematic capture, and design modifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 1-2+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes
- Hands-on experience with multimeters
- Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment
- Hands-on experience with soldering and board-level work
- Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, or board-level electronics
- Product development or hardware engineering experience
