Job Description

Hankscraft Inc. offers an environment built around engineering support that moves from requirements and design through prototyping, production, and continuous improvement. In this 100% onsite role at the Reedsburg, WI facility, you will partner with internal teams and suppliers to help product developers deliver new and existing solutions across the Contract Manufacturing and Water Divisions. You will work in a team setting where your electrical expertise is applied to schematics, PCB design review, testing, and issue resolution, while maintaining key engineering records such as specifications and bills of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering support to product developers, internal teams, and suppliers for new and existing products.
  • Review electrical requirements, schematics, PCB designs, components, and test results; identify technical concerns and recommend solutions.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and resolution of issues found during development.
  • Investigate electrical issues in production or existing products and coordinate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain electrical specifications, drawings, test procedures, and other technical documentation as assigned.
  • Support component selection, supplier technical discussions, and evaluation of proposed substitutions.
  • Support release and maintenance of bills of materials and other engineering records.
  • Complete assigned electrical design and development tasks under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
  • Provide technical input to Sales and participate in customer discussions when requested by the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience; internships and co-ops may be considered as part of a candidate’s potential onboarding and development with the Hankscraft team.
  • Working knowledge of circuit analysis and schematic review.
  • Experience with electrical CAD tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar schematic and PCB layout software.
  • Hands-on lab skills including oscilloscope, multimeter, bench power supplies, and soldering/rework.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including documenting test results and specifications.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Position is 100% on premises at the Reedsburg, WI facility.

Preferred

  • Experience with PCB layout, power electronics, embedded systems, or motor drive/control.
  • Electrical assembly, electromechanical, or wire harness assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFT, BOM management, and ECO/ECN processes.
  • Exposure to product safety and EMC standards (e.g., UL, CE, FCC, IEC).
  • Project Management experience, including liaison up to lead.
