Job Description

RPT Alliance offers an onsite electrical engineering opportunity in Houston, TX for engineers at all levels. The role centers on technical leadership, project oversight, and mentorship to drive innovation and excellence in project delivery. Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment sizing and selection, explore alternatives, and deliver related analyses
  • Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
  • Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to meet project reporting and schedule requirements
  • Identify scope changes and estimate their impact on effort and schedule
  • Prepare, review, and approve electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs
  • Support proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying deliverables, and estimating required effort
  • Participate in project scoping and estimation
  • Lead in a senior role, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the electrical engineering discipline
  • Work is highly independent
  • All responsibilities of level IV
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
  • Provide input to strategic decisions affecting the functional area of responsibility
  • Participate in stakeholder management, fit/gap analysis, and needs analysis
  • Lead at the highest discipline level, managing the electrical engineering team, overseeing design and implementation of electrical systems, and coordinating strategic planning and project execution
  • Operate with autonomy

Requirements

  • 4 to 10+ years of experience, depending on level
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • Professional Engineer licensure (PE) preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Advanced proficiency with electrical engineering software and tools
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • In-depth understanding of power distribution, control systems, and electrical equipment
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices
  • Ability to develop and implement electrical engineering standards and guidelines
  • Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and high personal integrity
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
