Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer opportunity in Indianapolis, IN (onsite) focused on developing and improving embedded systems software.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded systems software using Embedded C++ and C
• Partner with engineers throughout design, implementation, testing, and debugging
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the existing code base
• Debug and improve newly written code
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
• Process assigned change requests, including:
  • Custom-developed tools and general development tasks/changes
  • Integration with other applications
  • Polarion workflows and UI changes
  • GitHub UI and repository creation/updates
  • CI pipeline support
• Support tool/software licensing tasks, process documentation, and software build and release management, including military/defense application work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
• 1-2 years of experience coding with Embedded C++ or Embedded C
• Experience with Python and/or JavaScript for tool or scripting development
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Proven embedded systems design experience using preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
• Ability to quickly learn new methods
• Strong organization and ability to work independently
