Embedded Software Engineer

This Embedded Software Engineer contract role is based in Orlando, FL and requires an Active Secret Clearance with a most recent investigation within the last 5 years. The position focuses on building and integrating real-time embedded software using C/C++ on Linux for multi-core processors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop real-time embedded software using C/C++ on Linux for multi-core processors
• Integrate software and firmware to align with project specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban, with tooling such as GitLab and Bitbucket
• Maintain compliance with security protocols to support an active Secret Clearance
• Support system improvement efforts and troubleshoot issues during development and deployment

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance with most recent investigation within the last 5 years
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college
• 5+ years of embedded C/C++ real-time software development experience using Linux on multi-core processors
• 5+ years of hands-on experience integrating software/firmware
• 3+ years experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) using GitLab and Bitbucket

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the Yocto operating system (preferred)
• Familiarity with Data Distribution System (DDS) middleware programming (a plus)

Relevant Technologies

Experience with C/C++, Linux, GitLab, Bitbucket, Yocto, and Data Distribution System (DDS) middleware is applicable, along with Scrum and Kanban.
