ENGINEER ELECTRICAL 4

An electrical engineer will join HII's Ingalls Shipbuilding Frigate Ship Design Team in Pascagoula, Mississippi, onsite, focusing on researching, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks for naval platforms. The role involves providing broad technical direction and working closely with program management and customer organizations to support the Frigate program execution.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Supports the Frigate Ship Design Team and reports to the Frigate Ship Design Manager.
• Provides broad program technical direction and reports on the associated engineering efforts.
• Interacts with program management and customer organizations supporting the Frigate execution.
• Assures technical adequacy, accuracy, and quality of engineering products developed.
• Supports the review of engineering products developed under area of responsibility.
• Acts as an advisor to the SDM to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

Requirements

• 9 years of experience with Bachelor of Science degree in related field.
• 7 years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s Degree.
• 4 years of relevant professional experience with a PhD.
