Job Description
Arencibia is seeking an Engineer I to contribute to process engineering and research and development efforts in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. This onsite role focuses on operating and testing gas analyzers, flow meters, pressure sensors, control valves, and pumps, while providing installation and commissioning support for test modules and instrumentation used in both development and industrial settings. The position includes travel to support site activities, with an expected 15 to 20 percent travel requirement.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of gas analyzers, flow meters, pressure sensors, control valves, pumps, and related process equipment.
- Support the installation and commissioning of test modules, sample systems, and process instrumentation for R&D and industrial applications.
- Assist in customer gas sampling by commissioning and conducting gas testing using Mass Spectrometry and Gas Chromatography techniques.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, instrumentation layouts, and technical documentation.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Operate in a collaborative, cross-functional, and demanding environment while taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Acquire knowledge about gas analyzers, flow meters, and other process equipment and instrumentation.
- Travel to support site commissioning, troubleshooting, and field testing activities, roughly 15β20% of the time.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field with an interest in industrial process systems and instrumentation.
- 0β3 years of experience in process engineering, industrial analyzers, laboratory systems, instrumentation, or manufacturing/industrial operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical tools and instrumentation.
- Cryogenic industry experience is a plus.
- Proven problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in hands-on industrial and R&D environments.
