Job Description

The Engineering / Maintenance Technician role at Hilton Garden Inn Hotel supports reliable, safe operation of manufacturing equipment through routine inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. This onsite position in Fort Worth, TX also includes maintaining documentation in a CMMS and assisting with installations and emergency response during production needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic systems, electrical components, HVAC/R units, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments to accurately identify equipment problems.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), including tracking work orders and parts inventory.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment service life.
  • Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and other industrial lifting tools safely to reach elevated or hard-to-access areas.
  • Support installation and upgrade efforts involving welding (including <LOCATION> welding), mechanical assembly, or electrical upgrades in line with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with production teams to optimize machinery performance and support process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols for both high voltage systems and low voltage control circuits, aligned with industrial electrician standards.
  • Assist with emergency repairs and troubleshooting during production shifts to minimize disruption.
  • Provide technical support for customer service inquiries related to equipment performance and maintenance issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical wiring for both high voltage and low voltage applications, including familiarity with schematics and industrial mechanics.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician practices, and troubleshooting of control systems.
  • Experience using CMMS software to support maintenance tracking and inventory management.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams accurately.
  • Experience operating field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely.
  • Strong diagnostic and analysis skills to address complex machinery issues promptly and effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills when supporting internal teams or external clients during field service activities.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques including <LOCATION> welding is preferred.
  • Certifications in HVAC/R or industrial electrician credentials are highly desirable.
  • Military experience in maintenance or technical roles is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required for effective communication across teams.

Compensation and Location

  • Pay: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
