Facilities Electrical Engineer
Job Description
The Facilities Electrical Engineer serves as a technical authority for electrical systems across global high-tech and manufacturing facilities. This role emphasizes system reliability, safety, code compliance, and energy efficiency while supporting ongoing standards and continuous improvement efforts.
Role Summary
Provide leadership for facility electrical standards and reliability programs. Manage and support low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems, including critical infrastructure such as UPS and generators. Contribute to construction and retrofit activities by reviewing electrical designs and supporting analysis, studies, and field coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Own global electrical standards and reliability programs for facility electrical systems.
- Lead design and technical oversight for LV/MV power, lighting, and emergency power systems.
- Design and/or support critical infrastructure including UPS systems and generators.
- Support electrical scopes for construction and retrofit projects.
- Review electrical designs, calculations, and arc-flash studies to ensure technical and safety requirements are met.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for CMMS maintenance program support.
- Troubleshoot electrical incidents and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support energy-efficiency, ESG, and sustainability initiatives related to electrical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with LV/MV power distribution, emergency power, and lighting systems.
- Proficiency with electrical analysis tools including SKM, ETAP, and EasyPower.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and global electrical codes.
- AutoCAD experience; Revit/BIM, CMMS, and BMS/EMS are preferred.
- Construction support experience including submittals, RFIs, and field reviews.
- BS in Electrical Engineering; PE preferred.
- 5+ years of facilities/MEP or high-tech manufacturing experience.
- Strong project leadership, communication, and multi-site coordination skills.

Compensation
USD 113,000 - 170,000 per year
