Forward Deploy AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Directly embed the platform into customers' production systems, integrating monitoring and evaluation into real agent workflows, diagnosing failures in live environments, and guiding deployments to stable production use.
• Maintain a strong customer focus, where clear communication and relationship building are critical alongside technical execution.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of software engineering experience with a proven ability to ship features end to end inside customer codebases
• Applied AI experience, with AI adjacent exposure preferred over a purely solutions-focused hire
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly and build trust with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Comfort deploying AI or LLM based systems into real production environments
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer goals into concrete technical solutions
• This forward deployed role aligns with your career priorities and is not a fallback
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate; in-person presence five days a week

• Work policy: On-site, five days per week
• Compensation: USD 200,000–300,000 per year plus 0.1%–0.2% equity
