General Engineer (Programmer)
Job Description
The General Engineer (Programmer) role supports military construction planning by delivering programming packages, solutions, and designs for facilities and infrastructure projects. The position emphasizes creating programs and documentation that enable effective planning and execution on onsite assignments.
Responsibilities
- Develop project programming packages for military construction planning, including DD Forms 1391, design instructions, cost estimates, and supporting project documentation.
- Contribute to the development of programs, solutions, and designs related to facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems.
- Maintain current information assurance (IA) certification as required.
Requirements
- Security clearance: NACI or SF85 (Public Trust).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or Building Construction Services from a curriculum accredited by ABET, NAAB, or ACCE.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the construction industry developing designs and solutions for DoW or commercial facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems.
- Current information assurance (IA) certification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
