Grinder Service Engineer
Job Description
On-site Field Service role focused on CNC machine tool installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance with 100% travel.
Responsibilities
- Install CNC machine tool systems and all associated accessories at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or application-related issues
- Coordinate resolution plans and recommend CNC tool repairs or replacements
- Provide customer support both on-site and remotely for customers, distributors, and internal colleagues
- Manage service projects and deliver training as needed
- Support trade shows and provide service coverage as required
- Complete work with 100% travel, including overnight trips and occasional weekend travel
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years machine tool maintenance or technology experience (electrical and mechanical)
- 3+ years remote technical support experience in the machine tool industry
- 3+ years installation and maintenance of machining centers, including CNC geometry checks and adjustments
- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, control systems, FANUC Controls, and power circuits
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Microsoft suite)
- OSHA-10 certification in General Industry or Construction
- Experience installing and servicing OD/ID and/or cylindrical grinding machines

Compensation
