Location: Yuma, AZ (onsite). Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year. This Instrumentation Engineer role centers on data acquisition, instrumentation, and flightline support for advanced test missions, with on site collaboration alongside DoD and DOW stakeholders to preserve data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation engineering for advanced test campaigns
• Deliver dependable data capture, instrumentation, and flightline support
• Collaborate on site with DOD and DOW stakeholders to align objectives
• Configure and calibrate data systems
• Oversee launch and recovery phases to monitor telemetry
• Diagnose and fix intricate instrumentation issues
• Guard mission critical data integrity across systems
• Document procedures and present findings to stakeholders
• Load and manage data acquisition programs
• Develop data system status displays
• Identify and classify data anomalies to maintain data quality
• Provide guidance and hands-on support to flightline operations
• Write and update flightline operations procedures
• Review collected data and troubleshoot instrumentation
• Assess data for accuracy, completeness, and quality
• Trace hardware or data-flow issues to resolve instrumentation faults
• Load mission programs and sequences
• Monitor launch and recovery events
• Maintain real-time displays and ensure they stay on track

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Aeronautical preferred)
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation
• Hands-on experience with data acquisition
• Hands-on experience with flight test technologies
• Strong documentation, testing, and quality assurance experience
• Willingness to support very infrequent travel as mission needs require
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Top Secret clearance required
• 8+ years of instrumentation engineering experience (preferred)
• 5+ years in data acquisition (preferred)
• 3+ years in flight test technologies (preferred)
• 8+ years in documentation, testing, and quality assurance (preferred)
