IT Specialist (Data Engineer)
Job Description
IT Specialist (Data Engineer) with the Division of Data at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, onsite in Washington, DC, offering USD 152,377 to 223,819 per year and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, and sustain enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
- Create data models using normalized, dimensional, star, and snowflake schemas to enable advanced analytics.
- Construct ETL and ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data, with automated data quality monitoring.
- Develop and operate event-driven and streaming data pipelines using modern orchestration frameworks.
- Establish data governance, classification, retention, and stewardship aligned to federal standards.
- Apply Zero Trust security concepts and assist with ATO processes in line with NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
