Job Description

True Zero Technologies is hiring a Jr. Cloud Security Engineer for an onsite role in Model, CO. In this position, you will help support secure cloud infrastructure deployment and day-to-day operations, partnering closely with developers and DevOps teams to keep application deployment and CI/CD pipelines running smoothly. You will also build capability in automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible while applying cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with deploying and configuring virtual machines, S3/Blob storage, and networking components such as VPCs and subnets
  • Track system performance using tools like AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor, with focus on high availability
  • Identify, document, and help resolve minor technical issues or infrastructure errors
  • Apply cloud security best practices including user access management, firewalls, and security groups
  • Support developers and DevOps teams with application deployment and CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
  • Provide first-level support for cloud system issues by monitoring network and application logs and helping mitigate downtime
  • Learn and apply Terraform or Ansible to enable repeatable infrastructure deployments

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of at least one major cloud provider
  • Ability to write and maintain basic scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate routine tasks
  • Basic grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and comfort working with Linux or Windows
  • BA or BS degree, or 2-4 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to influence and collaborate with leadership, peers, and team members
  • Approved to work in the United States
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Some hands-on experience with cloud architecture/engineering, services, migration, and security including FedRAMP IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
  • Experience with Cloud-based Computer Network Defense (CND)
  • Experience with cloud automation and scripting, including Auto-scale, Azure Resource management, and related scripting
