Responsibilities
- Collaborate on designing, building, and refining ML models for document classification, entity extraction, and outcome prediction using libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Work with internal teams to modernize legacy workflows by integrating AI powered tools.
- Assist in defining and tracking performance metrics like recall, precision, and accuracy to improve model effectiveness and reduce errors in tax form extraction and chatbot outputs.
- Support deployment and monitoring of models with MLflow, FastAPI, or Streamlit, including version control, logging, and overseeing production systems.
- Join a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience with practical AI applications in tax automation.
Requirements
- Recent graduate (0–2 years of experience, including internships) in AI, NLP, computer science, or related fields.
- Foundational Python skills.
- Experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience using pandas for document extraction.
- Experience with a PDF extraction library.
- Exposure to token estimation libraries.
- Experience integrating large language model APIs and handling their payloads (for example OpenAI or Azure AI).
- Experience with OCR or document intelligence tools such as Azure Document Intelligence or Google Document AI.
- Interest in working with structured and unstructured data, especially financial or tax documents.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Eager to learn and proactive about solving problems.
- Good documentation habits and a collaborative mindset.
