Job Description

Hybrid work in Kirkland, WA with a collaborative engineering culture, strong project ownership, and long-term growth opportunities. You will lead electrical design and power analysis work for industrial and commercial facilities, partnering closely with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams throughout execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Design medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Design emergency and standby power systems.
  • Create interior and exterior lighting systems as part of facility electrical scope.
  • Develop communication, networking, and auxiliary systems supporting facility needs.
  • Perform power system studies and analysis including load flow studies.
  • Complete short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
  • Support construction and commissioning by reviewing equipment submittals, responding to RFIs, and providing field coordination and verification.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation as projects transition to completion.
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across project teams.
  • Coordinate across stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams, during project execution.

What You Bring

  • BSEE degree required.
  • 3–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial or commercial environments.
  • Experience with medium and low-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Experience preparing construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Background supporting construction, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Power system analysis software experience with SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and common project collaboration platforms.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to project sites as needed.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Hybrid Schedule

  • 3 days in office with flexibility for remote work.
  • In-office time supports studies, medium/low-voltage power distribution work, and commissioning activities.
