Lead Information Security Engineer - Web Application Security

Wells Fargo is hiring a Lead Information Security Engineer to support the Inbound Web Application Security team. This hybrid role in Columbus, OH focuses on audit and control support as well as security engineering for complex web application security solutions. You will work on security consulting, review security logs, perform vulnerability and risk assessments, and help teams with issue resolution across web application engagements and application IDs.

Responsibilities

• Provide security consulting on large projects for internal clients to help ensure alignment with corporate information, security policy, and standards
• Design, document, test, maintain, and recommend issue resolutions for highly complex security solutions spanning networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
• Review and correlate security logs to support security monitoring and analysis
• Apply subject matter expertise and industry best practices to implement information security components, including availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
• Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, conduct risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
• Collaborate and influence professionals at all levels, including managers

Requirements

• 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military experience, and/or education
• 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment

Preferred / Desired Qualifications

• Layer 7 web security experience (Bot, API, L7 DDoS, WAF)
• Advanced knowledge of HTTP/S
• ServiceNow experience
• Experience with vendors such as Akamai and/or Cloudflare, including content delivery network experience
• Familiarity with DNS and load balancing
• Technical documentation experience
• Jira and Confluence experience
• Strategic planning experience translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
• Technology experience in the Financial Services sector
• Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
• Advanced critical thinking, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced technology and/or information security organization within a large enterprise environment

Compensation & Schedule

Pay range: $119,000.00 to $187,000.00 per year.

Work model: Hybrid schedule in Columbus, OH. Ability to work off hours and occasional weekends to support change activities.
