Somatus, Inc. is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to help design and deploy ML solutions within its data driven care platform in McLean, on site. You will work cross-functionally with data engineers, software developers, product managers, and clinical and operations teams to translate insights into tangible improvements for clinical, operational, and financial partners.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers, software developers, product managers, data analysts, and clinical and operations staff to deliver ML solutions with measurable impact.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and ML projects, from idea generation and data/feature engineering through model training, evaluation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Build pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying models.
Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, causal inference, and other advanced analytics to uncover meaningful insights.
Advise stakeholders on experimentation best practices and assist with designing and implementing A/B and multivariate tests as needed.
Maintain awareness of trends and developments in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 1+ years of experience in a machine learning related role, or PhD.
At least 1 year of experience with Python.
Some experience with relational databases and SQL.
Understanding of software engineering best practices and the software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with Git and issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
Familiarity with Linux and command line interfaces.

Compensation

Salary range is $105,000 to $115,000 per year. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location and may fall outside of the range shown above. The position may be eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus in accordance with the company's incentive practices.
