Job Description
Hadrian Automation is developing advanced software to automate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis and support faster, precision manufacturing. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, build, and scale end-to-end machine learning systems focused on manufacturing applications.

Compensation
The target salary range for this role is USD 160,000 - 250,000 per year. Actual range may vary based on experience. The range reflects the lowest to highest amount Hadrian reasonably and in good faith believes it would pay for this role at the time of posting.
Role Summary
Hadrian is building machine learning solutions that apply deep learning to document understanding and layout analysis, supporting automation of DFM workflows. In this position, you will deliver production-ready models and the supporting systems across the full machine learning lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and deploy deep learning models, including OCR, vision-language, and detection models for document understanding and layout analysis
- Collaborate with engineering team members and end users to contribute to ongoing development and refinement of current models
- Own work across the machine learning lifecycle, including production data pipelines, and software systems for training, inference, labeling, and evaluation
- Combine open-source solutions with novel research to build high-performance vision systems for manufacturing use cases
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline), or an equivalent amount of deep learning experience
- 5+ years of experience in Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning, including ownership of projects across the entire ML lifecycle
- Proficiency in Python, OpenCV, SQL, and one or more deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow

Additional Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning
- Demonstrated experience with detection and segmentation models, including high performance results through exploratory analysis, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing, including working with 3D/CAD/CAM data for manufacturing applications
- Strong software engineering skills, including prior web development experience using Javascript/TypeScript or Python, and familiarity with FastAPI or Express frameworks
- Prior experience with distributed training using cloud infrastructure
- Prior experience with visual document understanding and layout analysis
- Published research or achieved state-of-the-art results on an ML application
- Experience with multi-modal deep learning models
- Passion for manufacturing and the need for better software in the industry
- Prior experience working in a startup environment
ITAR Requirements
