Job Description

PwC Technology Consulting seeks a Senior Data Engineer - Senior Manager to lead analytics driven engagements onsite in Las Vegas, NV. The role centers on leveraging data to provide strategic insights, guide client decisions, and drive performance improvements, while coaching delivery teams and applying sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative solutions to optimize business performance and strengthen competitive advantage, including roadmap development.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques to support client operations and strategic goals, with emphasis on AWS data engineering and Redshift.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence initiatives using DataStage and ETL processes.
  • Deploy data visualization tools to deliver actionable insights and improve client outcomes, leveraging SQL Server and DB2.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data challenges and opportunities within managed services and SLAs.
  • Coach and motivate teams to solve complex problems and deliver high quality results.
  • Apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and opportunities in client projects, including workload orchestration and scheduling.
  • Validate outcomes with clients and incorporate feedback to refine solutions, focusing on CSAT and performance tuning.
  • Direct teams through ambiguous and challenging situations with composure and sound judgment.

As a Senior Manager, you will apply your expertise and leadership to deliver quality results, mentoring and coaching teams to resolve complex problems.

What Sets You Apart

  • Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Computer and Information Science, Computer and Information Science and Accounting, Economics, Economics and Finance, Economics and Finance and Technology, Operations Management/Research, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • Advanced skills in data architecture development and data pipeline management.
  • Proficiency with Python and Java for complex data analysis and visualization.
  • Proven ability with business intelligence tools such as QlikView and Oracle BI.
  • Experience leading strategic questioning and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Applied systems thinking to identify underlying problems and address them effectively.
  • Experience directing teams through complex and ambiguous situations.
