Job Description
A Manufacturing Engineer position is available with Michael Page in Merrillville, Indiana, supporting a rapidly growing manufacturing team in Northwest Indiana. This role focuses on strengthening production processes, resolving equipment and line issues, and partnering across functions on engineering projects that advance new product introduction and facility CapEx.
The client is a leading manufacturer of metal formed and fabricated products, operating a heavy industrial facility to produce metal and steel components for customers.
Role Summary

What You’ll Do
- Improve existing manufacturing processes
- Evaluate, maintain, install, and troubleshoot equipment
- Manage engineering projects from start to finish, engaging cross-functional teams
- Participate in engineering brainstorming and strategy meetings
- Troubleshoot product lines and processes tied to material, process, and design improvements
- Work on CapEx initiatives for a growing facility
- Conduct feasibility studies, capability studies, and stack-up tolerance analysis
- Drive new product introduction (NPI) projects
Requirements
- Engineering bachelor’s degree (mechanical/manufacturing/industrial preferred)
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with Inventor preferred
- Experience troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining production equipment
- Knowledge of NPI processes and engineering project management
- CapEx project exposure is a plus
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and apply new skill sets
