Mirth/HL7 Developer/Engineer

Vytwo is seeking an engineer to design, build, and support HL7 integration solutions using Mirth. This role focuses on reliable interface delivery, including Mirth server high availability, troubleshooting, and sustained postproduction stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement HL7 interfaces using Mirth.
• Create and execute test cases across unit, integration, and user acceptance levels, validating HL7 message data against business requirements and ensuring correct translation.
• Manage and support the high availability clustered environment of Mirth servers.
• Configure Mirth servers, apply necessary changes, and support Mirth product upgrades.
• Remediate security findings, troubleshoot performance issues, and monitor inbound feeds.
• Support QA/UAT execution and postproduction stabilization activities.
• Support enhancements and ongoing improvements to existing Mirth applications to maintain high availability.
• Build and support integrations across real-time and batch protocols, including TCP/IP, VPN, FTP, and SFTP interfaces.
• Develop and maintain webservice and API calls from Mirth.
• Perform database queries using Oracle and SQL Server as part of integration workflows.
• Document technical processes, procedures, and workflows accurately.

Required Skills and Experience

• Detailed working knowledge and hands-on experience with HL7 V2.x and HL7 V3.x interfaces.
• Experience working with common HL7 message types including Admit Discharge Transfer (ADT) and Results (ORU).
• Working knowledge of XML and healthcare document standards including CCD and CDA, with a good understanding of HIPAA rules.
• Familiarity with healthcare IT standards including LOINC, ICD-9/ICD-10, and SNOMED.
• Familiarity with two-way SSL protocol.
