Job Description

The Modular Data Center Systems Engineer, Spark, based onsite in Denver, CO, leads cross-disciplinary coordination to integrate Crusoe's modular data center systems, ensure deployment readiness, and manage site interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal technical liaison among Electrical, Thermal, and Mechanical teams to align their designs into a cohesive, optimized MDC architecture.
  • Coordinate with Energy Development and Construction teams to define and validate site interface requirements, ensuring reliable electrical tie-ins (UPS and transformers) and mechanical connections (CDU and secondary loops).
  • Collaborate with Field Operations and Commissioning to translate design intent into field deployment, acting as the lead technical coordinator during complex modular deployments.
  • Support the transition from air cooling to direct liquid cooling by coordinating CDU integration and coolant distribution within the MDCs.
  • Work with compliance specialists to ensure the integrated systems meet UL, CE, and NEC standards for modular equipment, where applicable.
  • Coordinate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (i.e., LOD 400), consolidating inputs from multiple engineering disciplines to deliver a cohesive 'data center in a box' blueprint for manufacturing partners.
  • Facilitate structured feedback sessions between Crusoe Industries manufacturing teams and design groups to drive ongoing improvements in modular system integration and MDC product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data centers, industrial systems, or complex modular infrastructure, with a proven ability to manage technical dependencies across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong ability to operate across swim lanes, influencing outcomes and achieving technical consensus without owning every component design.
  • Solid familiarity with the interaction between power infrastructure (UPS/transformer tie-ins) and high-density cooling (CDUs), as well as construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable integration plans for diverse teams.

Benefits

  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
