Network & Cloud Security Engineer

Apolis is hiring a Network & Cloud Security Engineer on a contract basis to strengthen secure connectivity and cloud-native protection across on-prem and cloud environments. The role focuses on securing remote access, operating firewall and perimeter controls, and managing Prisma Cloud to identify risks across multi-cloud workloads.

This position is in person with locations listed as Plano, TX; Wellington, DE; Columbus, OH; Jersey City or NYC. The expected schedule is 8 hour shift and 40 hours per week, with an hourly pay rate of $50.00 to $55.00 and overtime pay. A preferred ability to commute and/or relocate is indicated for New York, NY 10001.

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VPN gateways to support secure remote access.
• Monitor VPN performance, capacity, and user access logs.
• Maintain compliance with encryption, authentication, and access control policies.
• Implement and manage Prisma Cloud to protect cloud-native applications, workloads, and data.
• Monitor for misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and threats across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Set and enforce security policies, run compliance audits, and respond to security alerts.
• Integrate Prisma Cloud with CI/CD pipelines and security tooling.
• Configure, deploy, and manage Palo Alto firewalls and other perimeter defense tools.
