Job Description
The Network Operations Analytics Engineer at Leidos will design data sets, reporting tools, and analytics to support GSM-O II/JCSE within a DoD environment. The role includes managing data storage and retention and delivering ad hoc reporting. The position is on-site in Tampa, Florida, with compensation in the range of USD 92,300 to 166,850 per year. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data collection processes to systematically capture key performance metrics across each supported mission; promote data-quality practices and collaborate with vendors to improve existing tools.
- Independently refine customer reporting requirements and produce detailed mission reports aligned with operational objectives.
- Generate analysis of trouble-ticket data, including creation, response, and resolution times; identify trends and categorize issues to drive improved operational performance.
- Assess bandwidth utilization and overall network performance, tracking peak and average usage across the mission lifecycle.
- Create comprehensive documentation of approved processes and procedures to establish a repeatable framework for future mission support.
- Present recommendations, reporting, and technical findings to senior Government and military leadership to support informed decision making.
- Develop unique data sets by leveraging existing tools and propose additional tool sets to enhance data collection capabilities.
- Engineer and advocate for new tools or scripted solutions to meet evolving needs.
- Design reporting tools and deliverables that meet customer objectives; manage data storage and retention; provide ad hoc reporting as required.
- Analyze emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the program.
- Develop and recommend functional solutions to satisfy stakeholder requirements.
- Provide detailed periodic reports to support Joint Network Operations Center (JNOC) operations.
Requirements
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (examples include Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.).
- CCNA certification highly desired.
- Experience with network management platforms and ticketing systems.
- Database experience.
- Education: Bachelor of Science with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience; specific experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance.
