Job Description

Seeking a Networking Software Engineer to advance RDMA-class networking features for the Slingshot product line at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and integrate RDMA-focused networking capabilities for the Slingshot lineup
  • Collaborate with development, build, test, and CI teams to embed software into the test and release workflow
  • Build domain expertise and work across functions to align objectives
  • Prototype and develop software for networking library components to optimize RDMA performance on exascale class systems
  • Document architectures, procedures, and processes, contributing to ongoing process improvements
  • Engage with open-source communities to enhance API support for Slingshot networking hardware
  • Evaluate new technologies and use cases to broaden the platform’s capabilities
  • Lead advanced path finding initiatives through cross-team and partner collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in networking software
  • Understanding of high-performance computing architectures, RDMA networking, and the HPC ecosystem
  • Experience with Ethernet/IP networking
  • Strong collaboration skills and commitment to solid software engineering practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a strong sense of urgency
