Job Description

The Post-Tension Cable Engineer role focuses on designing and detailing post-tensioned concrete systems across projects, with exposure to design, manufacturing, installation, and field performance. This onsite position requires an active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Design and detail post-tensioned concrete systems in line with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Prepare and review shop drawings, layout plans, and stress calculations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to ensure effective PT system implementation.
  • Participate in site coordination and provide technical support during installation and stressing activities.
  • Coordinate with internal manufacturing teams to understand PT cable production and delivery logistics.
  • Support QA/QC efforts to ensure system performance and compliance with PTI and industry standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in design and production processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 24 months.
  • 3–7 years of experience in structural engineering, with specific experience in post-tensioning design or construction.
  • Familiarity with ACI, PTI, and IBC codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with structural and drafting software such as ADAPT, RISA, AutoCAD, or Revit.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, including written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a business integrating engineering, manufacturing, and construction.
