Principal Cloud Engineer - TS/SCI w/Poly (Up to 30k sign on bonus available)
Job Description
Principal Cloud Engineer with TS/SCI w/ Poly responsibilities include designing, migrating, securing, and operating Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud solutions using Terraform IaC and PowerShell automation in a high-sensitivity DoD environment.
Responsibilities
- Conceive and implement cloud architectures, delivering end-to-end cloud solutions.
- Migrate datasets from on-premises or legacy systems into cloud platforms.
- Manage Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive services.
- Monitor service health and resolve technical incidents.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Identify system requirements.
- Oversee project schedules and milestones.
- Identify optimization opportunities and cost-saving measures within the cloud environment and propose them.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business objectives are achieved during and after migration.
- Provide post-migration support and resolve post-deployment issues.
- Document configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
- Automate routine administrative tasks with PowerShell scripting.
- Implement security and compliance policies.
- Administer user accounts, access permissions, and licensing.
- Ensure secure, integrated, and high-performing Microsoft 365 apps including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
Requirements
- Educational prerequisites include technical training, relevant certifications, or a degree.
- Minimum of five years of related experience.
- Must hold TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Two cloud certifications in the applicable platform (Azure or AWS).
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- On-call availability.
- On-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud services and migration initiatives.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365.
- Solid knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Understanding of cloud security, compliance and governance.
- Experience scripting with PowerShell and automation of tasks.
- Strong problem solving and debugging abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $157,250 to $212,750 per year. This is not a guarantee of compensation; final pay is determined by experience, location, and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
