Principal/Lead Systems Engineer
Job Description
StataDX is seeking a Principal/Lead Systems Engineer to drive the development of a diagnostic instrument built around a microfluidic cartridge platform. The role serves as the technical lead for instrument development, system architecture, cartridge-reader interfaces, and coordination with an external design partner. This onsite position is based in Boston, MA and offers a monthly salary range of USD 8,000 to 12,000.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation of a diagnostic instrument for a microfluidic cartridge platform
- Define and validate the mechanical, pneumatic, and thermal interfaces between the instrument and cartridge
- Act as the primary technical lead in collaboration with an external engineering design firm
- Work with assay scientists to automate microfluidic workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field
- Experience developing diagnostic or life science instrumentation
- Experience with integrated systems that combine microfluidics, mechanical components, and electronics
