Process Engineer
Job Description
The onsite Process Engineer role in Lynwood, CA with Valence Surface Technologies, LLC offers a yearly salary range of $49,350 to $70,350 and requires at least 1 year of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer specifications to define detailed requirements, identifying gaps between current practices and specifications to set up new processes.
- Lead process optimization covering tooling choices, throughput improvements, cost analyses for new and existing packages, and reductions in paint costs.
- Coordinate first article qualification to optimize timing, evaluate pricing, and ensure proper engineering.
- Schedule all new customer orders and packages.
- Collaborate with planning to produce precise work orders for all orders and develop new technique cards.
- Conduct regular gap analyses of customer specifications for upcoming revisions to current processes.
- Lead project management to meet defined goals and deadlines.
- Apply Statistical Process Control tools such as FMEA and Pareto analysis to assess risk when launching or modifying processes.
- Coordinate with cross functional project team members to ensure deadlines and product goals are met.
- Set clear objectives for each assigned project to align team expectations.
- Arrange meetings, source required assets, and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Develop and update internal processing procedures and quality work instructions for quality control tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
