Professional Civil Engineer

Amertech Engineering Inc. invites a seasoned Civil Engineer to manage land use projects from planning through permit processing. This on-site role in North Brunswick, New Jersey offers opportunities to lead engineers and staff, engage with clients and boards, and coordinate field investigations to deliver robust land development solutions.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of land development principles and practices.
• Prepare proposals for professional services.
• Lead and provide direction to engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Plan and coordinate projects including conceptual layouts, land grading, stormwater management, landscaping and lighting, and preparation of technical reports and specifications.
• Attend client and board meetings, including testimony when required.
• Perform field investigations and evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with 5-8 years of relevant experience including a valid Professional License in NJ.
• Familiar with AutoCAD Civil and other related engineering software, including stormwater tools.
• General computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers.
• Advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Effective speaking skills with clients, municipalities, and governing agencies.
• Ability to present before planning and zoning boards and state, county, and local agencies.
