Project Tooling Engineer

Project Tooling Engineer for the Smith Metal Products division of Plastic Products Co. in Center City, MN, focused on quoting injection mold tooling and part pricing, collaborating with customers on design tooling modifications, and testing and improving process cycles for new and existing tooling with lean manufacturing and automation insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes for injection mold tooling and piece-part pricing for new and existing customers.
• Collaborate with customers on design tooling modifications.
• Test and establish or refine process cycles for new and existing tooling.
• Apply lean manufacturing and automation principles to analyze tooling and processes for improvements.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Plastics and metal injection molding experience required.
• SolidWorks experience preferred.

Work Location

• On-site, full-time at the Smith Metal Products facility in Center City, MN.

Pay

• Salary: USD 65,000 - 120,000 per year, competitive based on experience.
