Product Design Engineer

Elwood Professional is hiring a Product Design Engineer in Houston, TX (onsite). This direct hire role focuses on delivering innovative industrial design work and taking customer-facing projects from concept through launch. You will also be a key support partner across account management, manufacturing, and supply chain, helping keep product documentation, calculations, and BOM data accurate in the systems teams rely on.

What you’ll do

• Support Account Managers by producing installation drawings for guardrails, lifelines, and other installed systems.
• Assist Manufacturing with quality resolutions and manufacturing drawings, while maintaining BOM structures.
• Help Supply Chain through vendor inquiries and supplier evaluations.
• Perform calculations for various product ranges.
• Create, maintain, and update project BOMs in the ERP.

What you bring

• Experience and knowledge with CAD software, preferably Solidworks.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate quality-related issues and recommendations.
• A detail-oriented mindset focused on accuracy, precision, and thoroughness.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of ERP, preferably AS400.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.

• $70,000.00 per year
