Security Engineer

The Security Engineer position at Horizontal Talent is a hands-on engineering role focused on Tanium platform administration to strengthen enterprise endpoint management and troubleshoot complex security challenges. This onsite role is based in East Bethel, MN, with a compensation range of USD 57 to 92 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Tanium platform with emphasis on server administration, module configuration, and ongoing platform maintenance.
• Develop and maintain custom Tanium content, including sensors, packages, and saved questions.
• Utilize automation tools such as PowerShell and Python to enhance endpoint management processes.
• Integrate with Tanium REST and GraphQL APIs to streamline operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Support production environments and manage operational incidents effectively.
• Contribute to security logging and telemetry observability initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Tanium administration in large enterprise settings.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint security concepts and incident response.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly using PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with Git for source control and collaboration.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
