Security Engineer III, Cloud Security Controls

Security Engineer III focused on cloud security controls across Alphabet's multi-cloud footprint, defining and enforcing security controls and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve security posture and enable secure development.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design and delivery of secure, high quality engineering solutions for Alphabet's multi-cloud infrastructure, owning defined technical features and components.
• Implement cloud security controls and maintain clearly defined development paths, ensuring that delivery velocity aligns with security requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate and enforce security controls within assigned project scopes.
• Identify and implement technical improvements to existing security controls, contributing to the ongoing refinement of security standards across cloud initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience performing security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
• At least 2 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
• At least 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
