Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager

The Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager will lead civil design and project delivery across site development, drinking water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and stormwater management initiatives. This onsite role in Poughkeepsie, NY involves coordinating large-scale projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring staff throughout planning, design, and construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and produce civil engineering designs, including plans, reports, calculations, specifications, estimates, construction details, and other technical documents for assigned projects.
• Prepare site plans, municipal permit packages, and construction documents.
• Prepare proposals including scope of services and estimates of time and cost required to complete the project.
• Organize and coordinate design teams, correspond with clients, and administer construction contracts as required.
• Experience with Planning Board and public presentations, securing regulatory and agency permits and approvals.
• Foster positive, cooperative, and rewarding relationships with clients.
• Inspire teamwork with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor staff.
• Coordinate quality assurance and quality control review procedures for the project.
• Participate in marketing and client maintenance efforts.
• Oversee task management and project delivery to meet project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
• Ten or more years of progressive related technical experience and/or training.
• New York Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required; AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Compensation
