Senior Controls Engineer

Easy Automation Inc is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join its Edina, MN team. In this role, you will guide PLC and HMI development from sales to installation, writing custom automation code and troubleshooting issues across a broad range of customer projects. The position involves travel, offers potential bonuses, and supports hybrid or remote work after training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the controls team to shepherd projects from the initial sales order through to the completed installation.
• Write custom code for PLC and HMI programs tailored to customer needs.
• Troubleshoot customer problems over the phone during normal business hours and provide after-hours support as assigned.
• Partner with the EAI development team to craft innovative solutions for an expanding list of customers and industries.
• Develop and refine challenging and unique projects.
• Perform additional duties and roles as needed.

Requirements

• Strong electrical background with advanced PLC programming experience (5+ years).
• Two- or four-year degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Controls & Robotics, or equivalent education/experience.
• Professional presence and a positive, open-to-new-ideas mindset.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain them).
• Ability to travel to Canada.
• Capability to climb ladders and work in dusty environments, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform varied physical tasks.

Salary Range

• USD 100,000 - 150,000 per year (this range includes bonuses, commissions, and incentives).
