Senior Cost Engineer & Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement proven cost models on relevant captures.
• Perform cross-checks for program estimates.
• Develop and deploy dashboards leveraged by the team.
• Develop and present results to colleagues and senior staff.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Business Development, Program Finance, Estimating, Proposal Management, and ICE around model results.
• Become knowledgeable and available to answer questions around cost estimates and cost drivers.
• Work shoulder to shoulder with data science analysts building and enhancing tools and capabilities for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Have opportunities to grow and upskill in data science disciplines and technical abilities.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Math, Operations Research, or related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly detail-oriented with ability to balance multiple tasks at once
• High degree of accountability and responsibility with the ability to be a self-starter
• Microsoft Office experience (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience with and understanding of cost models, data collection, data analytics, systems engineering and/or finance or related areas

Work arrangement and schedule

Location: Onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility in Herndon, VA. This is a full-time onsite role.

Schedule: 9x80 every other Friday off. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide additional flexibility, with some schedules condensed.
