Job Description
Based onsite in Seattle, WA, this Senior Data Engineer role within Prime Video's data team focuses on solving large-scale data warehousing problems, building ETL pipelines on AWS, and enabling scalable data processing and self-service data access. The position offers a salary range of USD 154,600 to 209,100 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package to support health, financial security, and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Solve large-scale data warehousing challenges using AWS services to optimize big data processing, data warehouse design, and self-service data access.
- Contribute to automation and optimization initiatives across DW and ETL maintenance and deployment.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on non-standard problems, applying creative problem solving to deliver actionable outputs.
- Develop scalable data processing systems and tools that perform efficiently during seasonal spikes.
- Impact day-to-day decision making within the team through reliable data solutions and analytics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
