Senior FactoryTalk Systems Engineer

Senior FactoryTalk Systems Engineer role focused on process automation engineering, system integration, and GMP-ready FactoryTalk applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support project teams for the design, configuration, and testing of systems that support robust operation, maintenance, and recovery of complex, distributed industrial automation systems.
• Provide solutions to project leadership and/or customers within the project team, with a high priority on customer satisfaction and forward-looking technology decisions.
• Adjust to a flexible work schedule and travel as needed to support design, development, and start-up activities at client facilities.
• Act as an ambassador aligned with E Tech Group Core Values, emphasizing success for the company, clients, and professional development of associates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation systems.
• GMP systems experience strongly preferred.
• BS Engineering.
• Detail oriented with strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn new technologies.
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, including design criteria and codes relevant to Instrumentation and Controls.
• Familiarity with standards: ISA S88 Batch standard.
• Familiarity with standards: ISA S95 Controls System Architecture standard.
• GAMP 5 & cGMP experience.
• 21 CFR Part 11 knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to develop process control system applications, provide control system startup services, troubleshoot existing systems, and perform control system qualification.
• Expertise designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual server-based control system architectures, including understanding of control system network topology.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation specification, installation and troubleshooting, and control panel design, including check-out, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Collaboration and teamwork (a “DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork”).

Experience and Technical Focus

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining Rockwell FactoryTalk AssetCentre and related applications in a GMP environment.
• Interfacing and bridging data across automation and enterprise systems, including PLC systems, HMI platforms, and SQL databases.
• Implementing distributed systems on virtualization platforms.
