Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Cydecor, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join the MARS Infrastructure Team in Reston, VA. The role centers on frontend development using Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript within an Agile environment. The position is hybrid with mandatory on-site days and requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, develop, and deliver secure, modern software applications to support intelligence missions
• Investigate defects, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to minimize recurrence and related issues
• Maintain software assets and release regular updates to address stakeholder and business needs
• Analyze and validate programs and products prior to formal deployment
• Collaborate with team members to define best practices and align with client requirements
• Effectively partition and coordinate development tasks with peers to optimize delivery
• Contribute to mentoring and training of teammates to foster productive collaboration
• Strengthen software security by implementing controls that monitor and prevent unauthorized sharing of sensitive data
• Pursue opportunities to streamline software processes and enhance user interactions
• Assist in grooming user stories, decompose work, and estimate effort required

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience as a Software Engineer building distributed applications using modern, open‑source technologies and frameworks
• Proficiency with frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, and Angular
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Git, and Artifactory
• Extensive background in developing frontend microservices
• Solid knowledge of API design and best practices
• Strong data modeling experience for relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Proven ability to develop secure software in line with industry standards
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field
