Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Renew Vitality is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to advance a TypeScript-based product in a monorepo and to take ownership of AWS infrastructure across beta and production. The role includes leading development of Renew Vitality’s proprietary EMR and delivering end-to-end features spanning backend APIs, UI, reliability, and healthcare platform security.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive future development of Renew Vitality’s proprietary EMR, supporting new features, new projects, and new business lines.
• Deliver full-stack capabilities within a TypeScript pnpm monorepo, using Express + tRPC on the backend and React/Vite on the frontend.
• Develop domain-heavy backend logic, including lab ordering, e-prescribing, appointments, and billing, with a strong preference for pure, testable functions.
• Own day-to-day AWS operations across beta and production, including ECS, ECR, S3, IAM, networking, and CloudWatch.
• Integrate with third-party clinical and payment systems, including e-prescribing, lab vendors, and payment processors, while maintaining production health.
• Improve reliability through deployments and rollbacks, health checks, job processors, and handling vendor failure scenarios.
• Write unit and integration tests and document non-obvious product and architecture decisions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with senior-level ownership of complex systems.
• Strong TypeScript skills across backend and frontend development.
• Experience with Node.js/Express (or similar), PostgreSQL, and modern React.
• Solid AWS experience with containers (ECS/ECR), S3, IAM, networking, and monitoring, with comfort owning infrastructure day-to-day.
• Comfort working with CI/CD via GitHub Actions, Docker, and production debugging.
• Clear written communication, ability to work from specifications and architecture decision records (ADRs), and a practice of improving the codebase.

Preferred and Nice to Have

• Experience with tRPC, Prisma, Zod, or the TanStack ecosystem (Router, Form, Query).
• Background with event sourcing, CQRS, or functional/onion architecture.
• Healthcare, HIPAA/PHI, payments, or e-prescribing experience.
• Experience with AWS CDK (or Terraform/CloudFormation) and familiarity with SES/SNS/SQS and CloudWatch.

Compensation and Location

• Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (hybrid)
• Salary: USD 150,000 - 190,000 per year
